DESCRIPTION:
ANYANGLE is a powerful triangle calculator and geometry solver
which offers
scale views and supplementary data to back up the numerical
results. ANYANGLE includes an interactive scientific
calculator with automatic memory of all triangle components
as well as ten user-accessible memories. There is a Curves module which can find
arcs with minimal entry of data. Anyangle has extensive unit conversion
capabilities including inches to feet, inches and fractions and degrees to
degrees, minutes and seconds.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM
ANYANGLE?
Engineers, machinists, surveyors,
carpenters, drafters, hobbyists, students or just about
anyone at one time or another. There are definitions and data suitable for high
school trigonometry, and the instruction manual includes a few sample problems
to show what Anyangle can do.
UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM:
ANYANGLE is very easy to
use. The program will solve any triangle when given the
minimum amount of information, and the known data can be
entered in any order you wish. ANYANGLE will prompt you with
the maximum and minimum values allowed at any entry and the
ANYANGLE program always knows when it has enough data to
solve the problem, displaying the answers instantly. You can
then tinker with the solved triangle by changing angles or
sides, or sizing it to have a certain area, altitude or
other component or to fit exactly around or inside a given
circle.
NEW FEATURES FOR
VERSION 5:
ANYANGLE 5.5 has three MODES for
entering data. There is Normal mode,
Coordinate
mode and Right
Triangle mode.
In the new Coordinate mode you can enter the X and Y coordinate points for the
three vertices and Anyangle will display and solve the triangle. Also new:
Anyangle has the ability to enter and display all lengths in feet, inches and
fractions. and can convert back and forth at a mouse
click. Angles can be entered and displayed either in degrees or in
degrees, minutes and seconds and can be instantly converted back
and forth between these. In the curves module you can also enter and
display in radians. Unit conversions are provided for triangles and curves,
and there are 24 unit conversions
clickable on the updated calculator. There
are improved help screens with pictures to support the enhanced definitions.
There are improvements to printing, filing and resizing. The analysis screen
is greatly enhanced with such data as slopes of the sides and orthocenter
coordinates, and it too can display all data in feet, inches and fractions or
degrees, minutes and seconds. Rise and run data for carpentry is also shown.
Data can be copied to the Windows clipboard. Anyangle can automatically create
AutoCAD®
script which it copies to the clipboard. You've really got to see it.
The example screen shows a triangle solved and displayed with angles in decimal
degrees and with sides in feet, inches and fractions. With one click you can see
the sides in millimeters or decimal inches. Or you can view angles in degrees,
minutes and seconds.
The Curves Module:
The Curves Module will solve for the arc given any two of
the seven input choices. As with the triangle solver you are prompted with
information about the maximum and minimum allowable value that can be entered.
The view shown here is the Curves module ready to accept data in degrees,
minutes and seconds as well as feet, inches and fractions. Angles can also be
entered or displayed in decimal degrees or radians. Other lengths can be shown
in decimal English or Metric units.
The Calculator:
The calculator with its 11 visible memory registers,
one automatic and 10 user controlled, makes this very easy. The CALCULATOR uses the algebraic entry
system and has all the major functions such as powers,
roots, logarithms and trigonometry as well as a large number of unit conversion
keys. It can
automatically call in any number connected with the last
triangle by keying in simple two-letter codes or clicking on keys, and, of
course, it can work with all the memories. These codes work
throughout the program for numerical input.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
An IBM or
compatible computer with Windows 95 and newer versions is all you need to run
Anyangle. The program file is just under one megabyte in size.
REGISTERING ANYANGLE:
When you register or purchase Anyangle you get the triangle solution program and an equally able
program which can solve any part of the arc. The calculator is also included.
PRICE (USA) $59.95 US.
PRICE (CANADA): $79.95 CAN. This is more than you might expect because the bank
charges $5.00 US for each foreign transaction and you are asked to share some of
that cost. If you live in Canada you can send $59.95 in US dollars and avoid the
conversion problem.
