When I hopped off the Lake Shore Limited in Albany I knew
I'd be in New York City before long. Amtrak trains really can move down
the Hudson River corridor, which has new tracks. |

The devastation around Ground Zero is incomprehensible but
by now it is getting pretty well cleaned up. I went to the viewing
platform at night and experienced profound sadness. |

Memorials and missing person requests are found in several
places around Ground Zero. |

Glen and I were allowed 3 minutes to view
Ground Zero from the platform along with about 25 others. The wait,
however, was not long, about five minutes from arrival at the site. |
